Since 1988, New Art Players has organised a biennial lecture commemorating its founder President, Mohendra Kumar Barua, whose selfless service and able guidance across three decades laid the foundation of the organisation’s ideals and gave it a sense of direction.
The roll of speakers reads as a record of NAP’s intellectual reach — election commissioners and attorneys general, filmmakers and journalists, environmentalists and freedom fighters — each addressing questions of national and social consequence before Guwahati audiences.
